Swine Flu!

So, it's been a while since I have updated. I figured it's about time I fill everyone in on things. (With that being said, I doubt anyone is reading this).

The day Daniel was to take leave for the first time in several months, he collapses at his graduation for A-school. Diagnosis: H1N1 - SWINE FLU!

Yes, it's been pretty upsetting. I miss him; everyone misses him. He is dying to come home for a little while. I feel so bad! He has been in quarantine since Thursday and will stay there until Wednesday.

His orders to Washington were canceled, so please pray that his new orders are even better!

God bless.

Life here lately.

Hello!

So, the past 2 weekends I was able to spend time with Daniel. Now it's back to the normal routine in Rocky Mount. I really am sick of this place!

I started my job last week, and that helped pass the time. I'm being fitted for my presentation gown this Wednesday.

Daniel takes his test to move to Phase II next week. This will allow Daniel to be less restricted while at A-school. The phases work as follows:

Phase I - The first 3 weeks after recruit training.

- Wearing of civilian clothing not authorized.

- On-base liberty only during the training week.

- Consumption of alcoholic beverages not authorized.

- All liberty will expire at 2200.

- Must complete command indoctrination prior to off base liberty.

Phase II - Personnel may be advanced to Phase II upon meeting the following conditions:

- 3 weeks onboard under Phase I.

- Completion of NMT core curriculum.

- Within Navy physical fitness standards.

- Satisfactory uniform appearance.

- Satisfactory academic standing.

- Satisfactory military performance.

At the discretion of the Commanding Officer, liberty during school nights will expire at a time to ensure 6 hours of continuous sleep in a 24 hour period.

Phase III - Personnel may be advanced to Phase III upon meeting the following conditions:

- 4 weeks in Phase II.

- Within Navy physical fitness standards.

- Satisfactory uniform appearance.

- Satisfactory academic standing.

- Satisfactory military performance.

Oh how spontaneous.

Florida Pictures, Images and Photos
So, it's 5am, and I'm sitting in gate A11 at RDU airport. That's right, I'm flying to Pensacola, Florida to spend Memorial Day Weekend with Daniel.

I'll update in Atlanta!

Didn't update in Atlanta. Sorry you guys! I was NOT in the mood. I was continuously screwed over by Airtran. Last time I fly Airtran U. Don't get me wrong, Airtran is great. They're all about helping out the customer. However, it's impossible to get a standby flight with them. They're also kind of random with choosing standby passengers to go on.

BUT I'M JUST BEATING A DEAD HORSE! The fact of the matter is, I got here... first class BABY! Can't wait to see Daniel in the morning. Thanks for all the support today!

I haven't slept since I woke up at 7am Friday.
I have been in the Atlanta airport for 15 hours.
GOODNIGHT!

Phone Call!

Phone call Pictures, Images and Photos
Last night I got a phone call from Daniel. We talked for an hour and a half; it was so great!

He arrived in Pensacola safely and is really enjoying it. Clearly, it is way better than Great Lakes. Daniel says it's a lot like college.

He doesn't know if he will be put on hold yet, he will probably know that next week. I have his new address and will post it here soon. This is all very exciting.

Daniel can have his cell phone and lap top and whatever else really. He's free!

Waiting by the phone... again

Well, after an amazing weekend with Daniel, I have returned to not knowing. I don't know when I will talk to him again, see him again, etc. I'm used to it.

Supposedly, he flew out of Chicago yesterday and arrived in Florida. He will spend 2 weeks in Florida granted he isn't put on hold. There's no telling.

Keep on praying. I'll update once I hear from him.

Chicago!

Hello all. I'm not sure if you're even reading this anymore... now that Daniel has graduated. Oh well!

I'm in my hotel room with Daniel, Jenny, Jason, Nicki, and John (a friend of Daniel's from div 191). We're just hanging out, about to go catch a train to Chicago! I'm very excited. I have never been to Chicago... just saw the skyline as we drove in on Thursday.

Anyways... life is good. I'm having a great time. Much love!

God bless.
